My gosh. I can hardly believe it’s been more than a year since I wrote a post on this blog. To be fair, I can’t be blamed. I began my 8th pregnancy. We prepped the house to move (and by ‘we’ I actually mean my husband and myself got down in it – there was no crew hired in replacing windows and painting the exterior). I had a baby. We bought, sold, and moved. And now, I can write again.

I am currently in the planning stages of a new series. I striking a balance between the epic, character heavy Ogress’ Son (which I loved, but am leaving behind) and the more focused Unofficial Chronicles. This new work will be science fiction because I LOVE scifi. I’m not a trekkie, but I’m close.

I have wanted to write scifi for so long and I’m finally doing it. I’m putting a lot of work into world building, while keeping the story line relatively simple.

Humanity is complex. People do the unexpected. I plan on focusing on my characters and what they do, as opposed to getting too remote and having too big of a story to be able to have you, my dear audience, emotionally invested.

This is a challenge, but I am looking forward to it! More news coming soon!
